Let's start by, from here onwards, recognising that the referendum was about as illegitimate as one could get. Not legally binding in the slightest, the vote was won slimly, by about just 17% of the UK population, a substantial number of whom have since stated that they regret their decision. Many of them attribute their changed-minds to the sheer number of abject lies that were distributed by the Leave campaign back in 2016. Absolute whoppers like 'farmers will be better off after leaving the EU', 'we won't leave the Single Market or Customs Union, just the EU' and the infamous '£350m/week' rhetoric glued to the side of that big red bus. It has all been a total farce. They lied to get what they want, got it, and spent 5 years having absolutely no idea what to do, because the idea was flawed from its conception. I'm tired of seeing my country shoot itself in the foot for absolutely NOTHING back, in return. And if someone dares mention 'sovereignty' at me, you can pre-emptively do one. That is nothing more than empty rhetoric and I'm sick of hearing it.

Now they have no choice. It's done and now the population must accept it. Time will tell if the UK ends up in the rubbish pile as a result and left in the economic dust of the EU. Or maybe they will flourish and who knows. Even grow the economy!
